OTHER RELATED SITES

These sites are not directly concerned with_A Course in Miracles but can contain related and helpful ideas.

Namaste Publishing.................Publishes "THE POWER OF NOW" by Eckhart Tolle. The author explains from personal experience the power of living in the now moment.

E.Tolle
"Having access to that formless realm is truly liberating. It frees you from bondage to form and identification with form. It is life in its undifferentiated state prior to its fragmentation into multiplicity. We may call it the Unmanifested, the invisible Source of all things, the Being within all beings. It is a realm of deep stillness and peace, but also of joy and intense aliveness. Whenever you are present, you become "transparent" to some extent to the light, the pure consciousness that emanates from this Source. You also realize that the light is not separate from who you are but constitutes your very essence."

Eckhart Tolle Information ..................The site includes quotes, excerpts and reviews of his books. It also features interviews with Eckhart, and articles about him.

The Work Foundation................Publishes the teaching materials of Byron Katie. After experiencing a powerful inner transformation Byron teaches people that what disturbs them in the world is a mirror to what is unhealed in themselves.

Katie
"I have simply stopped arguing with reality. How do I know the wind should blow? It's blowing. How do I know this is the highest order? It's happening. Arguing with 'what is' is like teaching a cat to bark. Itís not very fulfilling. I am my friend and no longer confused. The way I know that reality is good is that when I argue the point I experience tension, fear and frustration. I lose - not sometimes, but 100% of the time. It just doesn't feel natural inside: no balance, no connection. I want reality to change? Hopeless. Let me change my thinking. Some of us mentally argue with 'what is.' Others of us attempt to control and change 'what is,' and then tell ourselves and others that we actually had something to do with any apparent change that took place. This leaves no connection or room for God in my life. In the peaceful experience of no opposition to God, I remain aware of my nature: clear, vibrant, a friend, a listener."

Ramana Maharshi
..............................Official web site of a teacher of non-duality.

Ramana Maharshi"What is called 'mind' is a wondrous power residing in the Self. It causes all thoughts to arise. Apart from thoughts, there is no such thing as mind. Therefore, thought is the nature of mind. Apart from thoughts, there is no independent entity called the world. In deep sleep there are no thoughts, and there is no world. In the states of waking and dream, there are thoughts, and there is a world also. Just as the spider emits the thread (of the web) out of itself and again withdraws it into itself, likewise the mind projects the world out of itself and again resolves it into itself. When the mind comes out of the Self, the world appears. Therefore, when the world appears (to be real), the Self does not appear; and when the Self appears (shines) the world does not appear. When one persistently inquires into the nature of the mind, the mind will end leaving the Self (as the residue). What is referred to as the Self is the Atman. The mind always exists only in dependence on something gross; it cannot stay alone. It is the mind that is called the subtle body or the soul (jiva)." From "Who Am I?"

J. Krishnamurti .................................Contains excerpts from his teachings.

"I claim that the truth is a pathless territory. And one cannot approach it by any path, by any religion or sect. This is my point of view, and I hold it absolutely and unconditionally ... Once you have understood this, you will see how impossible it is to organize a belief. A belief is an individual matter, and you cannot and must not organize it. If you still do it, it dies, it crystallizes itself and becomes a belief system, a sect, a religion, which will be forced onto others. Everybody throughout the world tries to do that. The truth becomes narrowed and a toy for those who are weak, who are only temporarily dissatisfied. The truth cannot be lowered, but each one has to come up to it. You cannot take the top of the mountain into the valley ..."

from his speech when he dissolved the "Order of the Star"

Nisargadatta Maharaj .........................Comprehensive quotations from 'I Am That'

Discover all you are not. Body, feelings, thoughts, ideas, time, space, being and not-being, this or that - nothing concrete or abstract you can point out to is you. A mere verbal statement will not do - you may repeat a formula endlessly without any result whatsoever. You must watch yourself continuously - particularly your mind - moment by moment, missing nothing. This witnessing is essential for the separation of the self from the not-self.

Do understand that you are destined for enlightenment. Co-operate with your destiny, don't go against it, don't thwart it. Allow it to fulfil itself. All you have to do is to give attention to the obstacles created by the foolish mind.

From 'I Am That'
